Fundraising

Being a small community focussed school, we rely on the generosity of our parents, grandparents, friends of the school, local businesses and staff to support our fundraising efforts. Our Student Representative Council also develop ideas for fundraising not only for our school, but for charities with causes the students are passionate about and would like to support.

Community fundraising enables us to make improvements to the school environment, resources and equipment for our students. Examples of some of the upgrades made thanks to fundraising have been: new technology equipment; play equipment; learning resources; library books; landscaping.

We like to put the FUN in fundraising and take advantage of many opportunities for fundraising as they present themselves throughout the year. Some of these are:

  • Mothers and Father’s Day stalls
  • Spooktecular Festival (School Fete)
  • Themed dress-up days
  • Footy colours day
  • Easter Raffle
  • School based competitions
  • Student publications
  • Vegetable sales

We have also been fortunate to have been successful at receiving grants from our Local and Federal Members of Parliament. We encourage our parent community to continue lobbying for the needs of our students. This year we have been able to: complete internal refurbishments and modernisation of all our classroom learning areas; install air conditioning into all of our classrooms and learning areas; refurbish our administration building; install ‘hearing loop’ equipment into 3 classrooms through these grants.

Students should be proud of the most recent fundraising efforts out of the gardening program, which along with a very generous donation of $2500 from Rotary, is building our brand new chook shed! Here is an image of the design:
